Edgar Degas Animal Collection

Edgar Degas was well known for his ability to express movement, as well as the harmony of line and contour in his art. Though his ability was most famously showcased in his pieces depicting ballerinas, his collection of animal art is just as impressive. The most famous pieces from his animal art collection are his paintings and drawings of race horses. His most well known painting of horses is titled "At the Races", an oil on canvas painting that is featured in the Musee d'Orsay in Paris.
